Kudjip Hospital in Papua New Guinea
The Nazarene Hospital in Papua New Guinea is severely understaffed
considering the incredible number of patients they treat each day. The
doctors work 70+ hours a week trying to treat more patients than is
possible. AIDS is increasing at a rate which will make it the worst in
the world within 10 years. The hospital doesn't have the financial
resources to hire local doctors because it is fully self funded. They
operate a 100 bed hospital but have treated 50,000 people in outpatients
and admitted 4300 within this last year, yet only have one surgeon. They have also seen 643
patients pray to receive salvation. These doctors are an outstanding
group of missionaries. The hospital needs doctors who will volunteer to
come and help them!
Perhaps you or someone you know is a Christian doctor who God could use
as a volunteer for a few weeks every year in one of the greatest needs
Nazarenes have in the South Pacific. What the hospital could greatly use
is a predictable rotation of volunteer doctors to help for a month at a
time. Check out the Kudjip Hospital website

Volunteers willing to help at the PNG facility can find out more about the process at

Update: OBGYN urgently needed
Kudjip is in desperate need of either a full time OBGYN or a constant flow of volunteers from this field.
A general surgeon and an anesthesiologist are needed as well. The current work flow
is causing burn-out quickly among those who are serving.
