HR Manual...
A Human Resources manual is essential for all organizations, even if there
is only a single staff member; a written HR policy can help to avoid
misunderstanding, if not litigation. Each locality will have specific
needs, laws and requirements for personnel that will have to be taken into
account in the development of an HR Manual. A Human Resources expert should
be consulted as this policy is developed. Many organizations appoint a
staff/personnel committee to formulate this document, which is then approved
by the Board of Directors. A good HR policy is continually and periodically
reviewed to be amended as needed.
