COMPASSIONATE MINISTRIES MONTH
This year, when disasters occurred, you responded. When you heard stories of hurt and need, you prayed. When children were in need, you supported.
Compassion is the church in action.
This December is Compassionate Ministries Month for the Church of the Nazarene. During this time, Nazarene churches celebrate the way God is transforming lives through the church’s ministries of compassion worldwide.
We encourage your congregation to set aside a Sunday in December to focus on God’s call to the church to live out Christ-like compassion where you are.
Share your stories, learn about God’s work in the global church, and press into prayer as you seek the Lord in what it means for you as a community to be people of action.
We have several downloadable resources to help you share what it means to join God’s work of compassion in our world. The RESOURCES button will take you to a “Greater Compassion” video, bulletin inserts, talking points, and more. Offering envelopes and brochures are also available. If you have questions, or if your church would like to receive hard copies of these resources, please call (800) 310-6362 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Together, we are the church. Together, we can make a difference.
Your support through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries will help local congregations worldwide meet the greatest needs in their communities. Churches are caring for children, families, and individuals by addressing their spiritual, physical, educational, and emotional needs—all in Jesus’ name.
Use these resources to promote Compassionate Ministries Month at your church.
